Timothy hay is wide bladed, bright green coarse hay, with long seed heads. First cut, timothy hay is usually used for race horse feeding for its high fibre content and should be considered as part of standard mix for grass hay and provides quality nutrition for horses. Timothy hay is excellent for impaction, colic prone horses and obese horses.
